As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, implementing and evaluating care on infants, and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care.

• Attend deliveries and perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments of newborns.
• Create and revise plans of care, including discharge plans, based on patient response to treatment and evaluate plans for effectiveness.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of infants and communicate any changes to the Nurse Practitioner or Neonatologist.
• Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
• Assist transport teams in stabilizing infants and provide necessary support and documentation to facilitate the transfer.
• Provide support and education materials to families on home care, treatments, adoption and support groups.
• Assist in high‑risk deliveries and with the Nurse Practitioner during resuscitation.
• Delegate work appropriately to non‑licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience in an acute care setting (preferred).

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.

• Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License (must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hire if using a Compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Registered Nurse, Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC‑NIC) – preferred.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Neonatal Education Program Certification – preferred.
