Join the Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU) for a 13-week travel assignment at a state-of-the-art facility. - Unit: Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU) — Trauma ICU RN / Critical Care RN
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-Site: Yes
- On-Call: No on-call required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,460 - $1,540 per week
- Active RN license (ICU Registered Nurse / critical care RN)
- Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience;
Trauma ICU experience preferred (Trauma ICU RN) - Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Preferred: TNCC or CATN certification
- Proficiency with GE bedside monitors, Alaris infusion pumps, and Meditech EMR
- Strong teamwork, clinical judgment, and ability to remain calm under pressure (critical care skills)
- Dress code: navy blue scrubs
- Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments for critically ill trauma patients
- Create, revise, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Administer and document medications and carry out physician orders accurately
- Recognize and escalate patient issues efficiently and appropriately
- Manage critical care procedures including EVDs/Bolts, arterial lines, central lines, and chest tube management
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 to ensure high-quality critical care
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
