TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

We’re looking for Pediatric Operating Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Austin, TX. The right RN will have at least 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements:
Responsibilities- Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.
- Document medical history, check for any allergies the patients might have, obtain patients' vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being.
- Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
- Manage care of patient in the OR according to hospital policy.
- Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure.
- Watch for signs and symptoms of impaired gas exchange related to anesthesia.
- Remain by the patient's side until anesthesia has been successfully induced.
- Stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Lift 20 pounds easily; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Potential hazards from exposure to certain chemicals or infectious diseases in the operating room environment.
- BLS, PALS, 2 Years
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
