• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN, Travel Nursing)
• Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – 6 beds
• Start Date: February 23, 2026
• End Date: May 25, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Night Shift PICU RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Call Requirement: None
• EMR: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs; no artificial nails
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460 - $1540

• Experience: Minimum 1 year recent PICU or pediatric critical care nursing experience (ventilator and continuous infusion/drip management required)
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — state-appropriate or Compact RN accepted per facility policy (Texas RN license preferred)
• Certifications: BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred
• Preferred: NICU crossover experience and 1–2 years PICU experience
• Clinical Skills: Ventilator/respiratory support (HFNC), seizure monitoring (EMU), vasoactive/drip titration, focused pediatric assessments
• Soft Skills: Team-player, flexible, positive attitude, receptive to feedback

• Provide evidence-based, high-quality care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU (Pediatric ICU nurse responsibilities)
• Manage ventilated patients and titrate continuous infusions/drips per provider orders and unit protocols
• Perform focused assessments, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Care for patients with respiratory illnesses (HFNC), seizure disorders, and a broad range of PICU diagnoses
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Accurately document care in Meditech EMR and maintain compliance with unit policies
• Adhere to infection-prevention best practices and contribute to a safety-first culture

• Work in a smaller, supportive PICU with strong teamwork and camaraderie
