Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to support multiple high acuity units including Cath Lab, EP Lab, OR, Pre‑Op, PACU, Cardiac Progressive Care, Emergency Department, and CVICU.

This role will float to Cath Lab, EP Lab, OR, Pre‑Op, and PACU. As a Float Pool RN you will perform patient assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. You will also assist with pre‑ and post‑operative care, discharge planning, and patient education.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and formulate care plans.
• Revise care plans based on patient response and evaluate effectiveness.
• Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient goals.
• Administer medications and complete treatments in accordance with hospital policy.
• Delegate tasks to non‑licensed staff per standards of practice.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding care and treatments.
• Facilitate discharge planning with care team.

• Minimum of 2 years recent RN clinical experience.
• Preferred background in procedural units.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

• Current Texas RN license or Compact RN License (Texas license within 90 days of hire if using Compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required at hire.
