Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Patient Care Navigator for our practice. The Patient Care Navigator functions independently to schedule procedures, act as a liaison to physicians and their offices, operate and help maintain the patient’s milestones, and statistical information. The Patient Care Navigator acts in accordance with the different Physician Services Compliance Programs and other reporting mechanisms. We would love you to apply now!

What

you will do in this role:
  • Initiates and manages patient education process and responsible for responding to patient inquiries via phone, email, and securing messaging.
  • Ensures patient has completed required education, training classes, and any other pertinent requirements designated by insurance guidelines.
  • Coordinate and obtain appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information required for patient’s surgeries.
  • Coordinate surgery schedule calendar and detailed processes related to surgery scheduling.
  • Contact appropriate parties to resolve issues regarding prior authorizations and necessary referral requirements.
  • Communicate with appropriate parties to discuss any insurance criteria.
  • Verify and utilize online carrier portals and websites to calculate patient cost share and assist patient with payment to appropriate departments.
  • Assist in answering incoming calls and ensure patient questions are answered and screened appropriately.
  • Ability to work with co-workers, patients, various stakeholders, and management in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
EDUCATION:

Associate's degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years of healthcare related experience in a specialty service line required Minimum 2 years of insurance and or surgery scheduling experienced required
