Job SummaryThe primary purpose of the RN position is to provide general health care, training and education to clients in a clinical environment. This position is expected to behave with professionalism, empathy, and positive regard for others in verbal, written, and non‑verbal communications. The goal is to promote trauma‑informed practices, provide suicide‑safer care, and foster a supportive and welcoming environment that promotes racial and health equity.
This position calls for strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team and with both internal and external stakeholders. This position is under the administrative supervision of the program manager or practice manager at the RN's primary work site. This position is under the clinical oversight of the program's designated RN Supervisor. This position exercises moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
- Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act
- Knowledge of community services and resources applicable to the target population
- Knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment options suitable for target population.
- Skill in health curriculum development.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio‑economic populations on various sensitive matters, developing health‑centered service relationships with clients.
- Ability to provide clinical training to other nursing staff personnel and/or Phlebotomists.
- Dosage calculation for medication.
- Computer skills necessary to complete documentation utilizing appropriate automated system(s).
- Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Licensed as an RN in the state of Texas.
- One to three years' experience providing direct care for active substance abusers, mentally ill or developmentally or intellectually disabled individuals.

Workhours6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
Salary$45.58–$58.12 an hour depending on licensure. Position is eligible for an additional 10% crisis stipend. Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay.
Shift Differentials- Second Shift: $3.25 /hour.
- Third Shift: $7.25 /hour.
- Weekend Shift: $8.00 /hour.
