RN - Emergency Room - 13 Weeks - St. Austin, TX

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends. On-call requirements are not applicable.

Job Description

The Emergency Room tin is seeking a dedicated RN for a 13-week contract. The unit is equipped with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track areas, and dedicated behavioral health spaces, accommodating a diverse patient population. RN staff will engage in critical care duties, including trauma assistance and patient monitoring, while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care and treatment to patients in a timely manner.
• Perform splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, and airway support.
• Assist in trauma procedures and behavioral health de-escalation techniques.
• Utilize Alaris pumps and other advanced medical equipment effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with Meditech EMR system is preferred.
• Previous trauma and inpatient experience are highly regarded.
