Perioperative Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for plastic surgery and aesthetic surgical care to join our growing surgical team. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven, and patient-centered surgical environment and is eager to develop expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

The Surgical RN will play a vital role across the perioperative continuum, including Pre-Operative care, Circulating Nurse responsibilities, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Operative Nursing

• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, chart reviews, and patient education
• Verify consents, surgical plans, labs, and required documentation
• Prepare patients for surgery while providing calm, compassionate reassurance

Circulating Nurse (OR)

• Serve as the primary patient advocate in the operating room
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures
• Document intraoperative care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards

PACU / Recovery

• Monitor patients during immediate post-anesthesia recovery
• Manage pain control, nausea, and post-operative assessments
• Provide discharge education and ensure safe transitions of care
