Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery OB Triage position at a Level IV Maternal facility, requiring a TX or compact RN license and expertise in high-volume perinatal settings.

Job Details

• Work in the OB Triage unit of a Level IV Maternal Designation facility,

• Facility includes 20 Labor-Delivery-Recovery suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 Triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored Ante-partum rooms,

• High-risk, fast-paced unit with over 500 deliveries per month,

• Academic teaching environment with large private OB practices,

• Shift is 06:45 to 19:15,

Job Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required,

• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or Red Cross required,

• NRP certification from AAP required,

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting,

• Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required,

• Nursys licensure verification required within 30 days prior to start,

• Must provide Social Security Number and a US home address,

Additional Information

• Perform nursing duties in a high-acuity, high-delivery-volume OB environment,

• 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage,

• Facility offers Perinatal Transport Program and will be expanding to a new Women's Tower in early 2026,

• Travelers may be considered for contract extensions if desired,

• COVID vaccination is no longer mandatory,

• Dress code and scrub color not specified; standard hospital policy applies,

• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rule,
