Position Summary

Licensed Vocational Nurse – LVN – Full Time Availability – Days. Our local office is seeking a team of compassionate nurses to provide care for a very special client/patient. The case details can be discussed by applying or contacting the local office.

Schedule and Location

Schedule:

Sundays through Saturdays – Days/Nights, 8 AM to 6 PM. Location/Setting:
South Austin, TX.

Younger Pediatrics. Acuity:
Feeding Tube & Med Administration.

Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state of practice
  • Compact licenses transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
  • Current CPR certification (hands‑on component);
    Aveanna can assist after hire if necessary
  • TB skin test current within last 12 months
  • Preferred: 6 months prior hands‑on nursing experience, but not required
  • Reliable transportation
Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to supervisor/physician.
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care timely.
  • Participate, implement, and update nursing care plan.
  • Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognizes changes in patient needs and interventions to prevent or reduce risk.
  • Maintains professional accountability in compliance with Aveanna policies, regulations, accrediting bodies, and Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provides care using infection control measures per OSHA standards.
  • Educates patient and family about disease process, self‑care, prevention strategies.
  • Maintains competency via education, CEU, internal learning, and skill evaluations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies.
Additional State Specific Requirements
  • South Carolina – One (1) year of pediatrics experience.
  • California – One (1) year of experience working under current nursing license.
  • Louisiana – One (1) year experience as a licensed nurse.
  • Continuing Education as required by state.
Preferences
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Home health experience.

  • Good organization and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Travel ability.
  • Lift 50 pounds and reposition patients/equipment without assistance.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Sit and climb stairs.
  • Visual and hearing acuity; strong sense of smell and touch.
  • Respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport.
Environment
  • Function in various environments, possible exposure to allergens.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
