Our local office is looking for a team of compassionate nurses to provide care for a very special client/patient. Here are some of the details of this case; more can be discussed by applying or contacting the local office.
Schedule: 4-5 shifts (Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM)
Location/Setting: South Austin, 78744
Age Range: Adult Patient

- Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice.
- Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days.
- Current CPR certification (hands‑on component);
Aveanna can assist in obtaining this after hire if necessary. - TB skin test current within last 12 months.
- Six months prior hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Responsible for the delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, and report changes to supervisor or physician.
- Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care promptly.
- Participate in, implement and update the nursing care plan.
- Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention, and intervene to prevent risk or reduce risk.
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
- Educate the patient and family about the disease process, self‑care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Maintain knowledge of competencies related to nursing by participating in educational programs, CEUs, internal learning management skill and skill evaluations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
- South Carolina – One year of pediatrics experience.
- California – One year of experience under current nursing license.
- Louisiana – One year of experience as a licensed nurse.
- Continuing Education as required by state.
- Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
- Home health experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Time management.
- Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution.
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.
- Must be able to travel.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
- Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
- Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
- Must have visual and hearing acuity.
- Must have strong sense of smell and touch.
