Job DetailsResponsible for providing leadership to nursing staff, ensuring quality medical care, managing availability of medical supplies, and overseeing change management. Duties include coaching, motivating, staffing, evaluating, training, and developing clinical employees. Works closely with Clinic Manager, physicians, staff, and patients to assure satisfaction and efficiency. Also serves as a resource for nursing staff and assists with direct patient care as needed.
All duties carried out while maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
- Ensures patient safety, quality care, and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrates best practices and quality care.
- Collaborates with physicians to meet expectations and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Provides resources so clinical staff have required competencies.
- Maintains personal competencies for all specialties in assigned clinic.
- Communicates changes and important information to staff.
- Works efficiently with all departments to promote teamwork.
- Attends Nursing Ops meetings regularly and participates on sub‑committees as needed.
- Provides supervision to nursing and clinical staff.
- Directs, guides, teaches and counsels staff.
- Meets staffing requirements determined by clinic management.
- Participates in direct patient care as needed.
- Builds communication and teamwork by holding staff meetings.
- Delegates effectively while considering staff abilities.
- Remains knowledgeable on policies and procedures and applies them.
- Maintains records of attendance, evaluations, time‑off requests, and counseling.
- Interviews prospective employees and collaborates with Human Resources.
- Coordinatse new‑hire training and on‑site training.
- Promotes organization’s values through personal conduct.
- Participates with management in setting and working toward clinic goals.
- Acts as a role model and communicates goals and values to staff.
- Measures performance using established standards and tools.
- Evaluates performance and provides regular feedback.
- Coordinates with Clinic Manager and Human Resources for counseling or discipline.
- Collaborates on clinic’s financial decisions, annual budget, and business plan.
- Anticipates and manages costs effectively and efficiently.
- Promotes customer satisfaction through efficient processes and employee pride.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engages in organizational development through meetings and committees.
- Attends ongoing leadership training.
- Assumes responsibility for clinic operations when Clinic Manager is absent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
ExperienceAt least two (2) years of nursing experience. Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong nursing skills; serves as a staff resource.
- Ability to analyze problems, make decisions, and manage conflict.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Current AHA‑approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card.
