The Austin Diaper Bank is committed to helping families in Central Texas who need diapers, wipes, and period supplies. We distribute over 1,800,000 diapers and 300,000 period supplies each year to our partner agencies. We are seeking a Volunteer and Development Coordinator to join our small but mighty team of compassionate and driven individuals to help address diaper need. Candidates must have a passion for helping those struggling with basic needs and poverty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and grow the robust Volunteer Program at the Austin Diaper Bank
- Ability to organize, motivate and lead volunteers
- Manage the volunteer schedule, lead and run volunteer groups, and communicate with volunteers on current needs
- Schedule and maintain community engagement activity and calendar for staff and volunteers
- Work with companies, civic groups, and individuals to schedule volunteer groups and diaper drives
- Manage and grow diaper drives and outreach efforts related to volunteering, programs, and distributions
- Create a joyful and fun volunteer space and experience for the volunteers
- Support leadership with development tasks, including database management, donor acknowledgments, and donor calls
- Assist with planning and executing fundraising events and public programs, ensuring follow-up after fundraising events
- Provide friendly, donor-centered customer service and represent ADB and our mission professionally and positively
- Provide general office administrative support including answering phone calls, checking the mail, donation processing and receiving packages
- Manage office and volunteer supply inventory and ensure timely ordering
- Answer phones, respond to general info request emails, and serve as a point of contact for inquiries
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience. Non-profit experience is a plus
- Confidence with database administration, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and other software programs
- Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading diapers
- Hold standard office hours and work nights and weekends occasionally
- Authentically build relationships with diverse stakeholders and move them toward deeper mission involvement
- Manage complex, concurrent projects with competing deadlines
- Learn and manage multiple online data systems (both volunteer and development)
- Exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks
- Be adaptable, flexible and enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment where often you wear multiple hats on the same day
- Bilingual is desired but not required
- General work in the office, including sitting or standing, twisting at a desk, computer keyboarding and typing, making and taking phone calls
- Regular work around pallets of diapers, hygiene products, loading docks, and warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, dollies, etc.)
- Ability to safely lift and carry boxes of diapers and supplies (up to 30-40 lbs)
- Ability to assist with unloading occasional 18-wheelers, including breaking down pallets and moving cases into storage
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting
- Frequent interaction with staff, volunteers, and community partners in a collaborative, mission-driven setting
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week at the Austin Diaper Bank in North Austin
- Flexible PTO, paid holidays, including extended time at the end of the year

- Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 per year
