Metro Relief is a nonprofit organization that supports individuals experiencing homelessness by meeting people where they are and building trusting, long-term relationships. Through consistent street outreach, mobile services, and the provision of basic needs such as food, water, and hygiene supplies, Metro Relief offers practical and compassionate support to people living outdoors. Their team works one-on-one with clients to help them navigate resources, replace important documents, access services, and take steps toward stable housing.
By remaining present and responsive over time, Metro Relief helps individuals move off the streets and connect to lasting support within the community.
The goal of this VISTA project is to increase the organization's capacity to engage the community, expand donor support, and strengthen public awareness of homelessness in North Texas through enhanced social media, photojournalism, and digital content systems. By improving our ability to document outreach activities and communicate impact through compelling stories, the VISTA member will help build sustainable communication and engagement infrastructure.
Oversight for this project will be provided by the Development Department to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and long-term capacity-building efforts.
