Social Media Manager (Full-Time, Austin, TX)
Reports to: Social Media Director

Resplendent is a creative and social media agency based in Austin, TX, partnering with hospitality, food and beverage, CPG, and lifestyle brands. We combine thoughtful strategy, strong creative execution, and data-informed decision-making to drive real business outcomes.

We are hiring a Social Media Manager to lead content creation, account strategy, and day-to-day execution across a portfolio of client accounts. This is a mid-level role designed for someone highly organized, proactive, tech-savvy, creative, and eager to grow inside a fast-paced agency environment.

A strong visual portfolio showing work you personally shot and edited is required to be considered.

Role Overview

The Social Media Manager will lead day-to-day execution and performance across assigned client accounts. This includes shooting, editing and sometimes starring in client or agency content. Additional responsibilities include publishing, community management, reporting, and client communication.

This position plays an active client-facing role, helping maintain strong relationships and ensuring deliverables are thoughtful, on-brand, and results-driven.

In addition to account management, this role collaborates with and supports junior team members through coordination, feedback, and shared execution. The Social Media Manager contributes to team growth by staying current on platform updates, trends, and best practices, and by helping improve reporting quality and creative output.

What You’ll DoContent Production
  • Shoot and edit photo and video content for client accounts across hospitality, F&B, CPG, and lifestyle categories
  • Direct and/or at times, occasionally star in client or agency content as appropriate
  • Edit short-form video using Adobe Premiere and/or Cap Cut
  • Develop shot lists and creative briefs for planned shoots
  • Write captions and copy across client verticals, maintaining distinct brand voices and tailoring captions to individual social channels and audiences.
Account Management
  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships through proactive communication and follow-through
  • Handle client projects using project management tools (Asana, Slack), ensuring timelines and deliverables stay on track and flagging risks early when needed
  • Translate client goals and feedback into content plans, executing in partnership with the team
  • Assign and coordinate tasks with coordinators and interns to meet deadlines and quality standards
Strategic Planning + Trends
  • Lead client social media strategy across assigned accounts, with support from the Director
  • Lead content calendar planning including themes, formats, and campaign support, adjusting plans based on performance trends, seasonality, and client feedback
  • Stay current on platform updates, trends, and content formats
  • Recommend new features and formats relevant to client accounts, specifically accounts with slower growth or underperformance.
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to junior team members
  • Share learnings with the broader social team on weekly meetings
Analytics and Reporting
  • Analyze organic performance using Sprout Social and native platform insights
  • Track KPIs including engagement, reach, saves, video views, and follower growth comparing monthly results to projected benchmarks
  • Draft monthly reports with clear takeaways and recommended next steps
  • Use data to inform testing, optimization, and future content planning
Paid Social
  • Partner with the Social Media Director on paid social campaigns for selected clients
  • Own ad campaign set up and execution including budgeting, audience build out, ad copy, etc with support from the Social Media Director.
  • Identify strong organic content that may benefit from paid amplification
  • Maintain working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and paid social fundamentals
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of social media management experience in an agency or multi-client environment
