Overview

The Role

We’re hiring a VP of Engineering to lead our technical organization as we scale our B2B SaaS platform and prepare for Series A. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments and wants to have an outsized impact on product, team, and company trajectory. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll own the engineering vision and execution, working closely with the CEO and Head of Product to deliver high-impact, AI-enabled features that solve real customer pain points.

You’ll be responsible for building and leading a world-class engineering team, implementing the processes, infrastructure, and technical standards needed to scale, and ensuring we maintain velocity, quality, and product-market fit as we grow.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and scale the engineering function:
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers and engineering leaders; establish the structure and operating rhythms to support rapid growth.
  • Own the technical strategy:
Define and execute on the long-term technical vision—ensuring scalability, security, performance, and extensibility across the platform.
  • Drive product execution:
Partner closely with Product and Design to translate business goals and customer needs into elegant, reliable, and high-impact solutions.
  • Implement AI-native capabilities:
Work cross-functionally to embed LLMs and intelligent automation into the core platform in ways that materially improve customer outcomes.
  • Establish engineering excellence:
Champion clean code, pragmatic architecture, rigorous testing, and modern Dev Ops practices to support a culture of quality and ownership.
  • Be a cultural and strategic leader:
Play a key role on the executive team, contributing to company-level decision-making, fundraising conversations, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Build for the future:
Lay the technical and organizational foundations needed to support Series A and beyond—including compliance, reliability, and customer trust at scale.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles within high-growth B2B SaaS startups
  • Proven track record scaling platforms and teams from early product-market fit through hypergrowth
  • Deep expertise in modern backend development (Python, Type Script, Node.js/Nest.js), cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), and data systems
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of complex, distributed systems with high reliability and performance requirements
  • Comfort integrating AI/ML or LLM frameworks into production environments (bonus if in customer-facing workflows)
  • Strong product sensibility—able to balance speed and quality, prioritize ruthlessly, and think from the customer’s perspective
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain top engineering talent in competitive markets
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on and pragmatic—excited to dive into code and architecture when needed, without losing sight of long-term strategy
  • Prior experience supporting a company through Series A or other major inflection points is a strong plus
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance & Disability Coverage
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) & Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Unlimited Vacation Days
  • Paid Sick Leave & Parental Leave
