Manufacturing Assistant (Production Support & Tooling)
About Wolfram ManufacturingWolfram Manufacturing is a leader in precision machining, producing high-quality components for innovative industries. Our success is built on cutting-edge technology and a team of talented, motivated individuals. We subscribe to a philosophy of "Fewer, Better People" — we hire self-motivated individuals who share our passion for excellence and are eager to grow.
The OpportunityAn "AI-Proof" Career. Our facility utilizes advanced automation to produce precision parts. However, the physical reality of manufacturing—maintaining a pristine environment, assembling complex tools, and managing fluids—will always require human hands and judgment.
Important Role ClarificationThis is a support and facilities position, not a machine operator role. You will not be programming or running CNC cycles. Instead, you are the backbone of the shop, performing the essential logistical and maintenance tasks that allow the machines to keep running.
Key Outcomes & ResponsibilitiesChampion Shop Standards (Priority #1): Own the cleanliness and organization of the facility. This is a hands-on maintenance role involving sweeping, scrubbing, and managing chip/scrap disposal to ensure the shop is "tour-ready" and safe at all times.
Precision Tool Pre-Building: Accurately assemble, measure, and pre-set tooling fixtures. You will ensure the right tools are staged and ready for the Machine Operators, ensuring zero downtime during changeovers.
Fluid & Environmental Management: Perform routine upkeep such as topping off oils, monitoring coolant concentrations, and handling recycling protocols.
Logistics & Material Handling: Prepare finished components for shipment by carefully sorting, packaging, and labeling products according to strict work instructions.
Note:
Forklift certification is not required; we value your ability to organize materials efficiently by hand and pallet jack.
Reliability: You possess a positive attitude and a reliable work ethic. You show up on time, every time.
Physical Dexterity: You can consistently lift and move objects up to 40 lbs and are comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Detail Oriented: You have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
High Standards: You take pride in a clean floor and organized tools, understanding that a world-class facility requires constant upkeep.
Schedule OptionsWe are seeking coverage for one of the following shifts (please indicate your preference in your application):
- Early Shift: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Mon-Fri). Excellent for early risers who want their afternoons free.
- Weekend Warrior: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4/10s). This shift includes Saturday and Sunday coverage.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
