Our client, a leading organization in electrical assembly and manufacturing, is seeking a Cable Harness Technician to join their team. As a Cable Harness Technician, you will be part of the production support team supporting engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Cable Harness Technician
Location: Austin, TX
Pay Range: $22-$25
Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday
- Friday
Perform electrical assembly of components and systems by following engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and written specifications (repetitive assembly work).
Use soldering irons, crimpers, and other hand tools to assemble and install electrical components, including both crimp‑style and solder‑type connectors.
Build and assemble custom cable harnesses following IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards for quality and workmanship.
Inspect and test completed harnesses to verify electrical integrity, correct pinouts, and mechanical durability.
Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure all harnesses meet quality, durability, and performance standards.
Prior hands‑on experience in electrical assembly, cable harness building, or wiring work.
Prior soldering (through‑hole or connector) and crimping experience is required.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic engineering drawings.
Familiarity with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards (certification is a plus).
Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
