Job DescriptionInsight Global is hiring a Metrology Equipment Technician for a leading Semiconductor company in Austin, TX. This technician will be specialized in Semiconductor Metrology Equipment Maintenance and will work in their 24/7 main FAB and interact with multiple disciplines. Technician's will be performing complete daily tool checks, will have quick responses to breakdown maintenance, complete scheduled preventative maintenance in a timely manner to minimize stop loss, troubleshoot complex problems, and monitor equipment processes.
RequiredSkills & Experience
- Associate's Degree in an engineering or science discipline.
- 3+ years of Metrology Semiconductor experience.
- Experience with advanced electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Able to read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams.
- Able to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask with minimal supervision while adjusting to changing priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and testing skills.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods of time as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with the following tools is desired: APS 2000 Wafer Sorter, KLA Tencor UV1200 Thin Films Measurement Systems, KLA Tencor SP1/SP2 Particle Measurement Systems, KLA 8100 CDSEM, KLA ASET F5 Scatterometry, AMAT SEMVision G3, KLA Tencor 2367 or KLA PUMA 9000D.
- Troubleshoot and repair all hardware and process failures for above tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities following standardized work documents.
- Use SPC charts and Fab Guard Fault Detection (FDC) software to evaluate tool performance and utilize data to troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues.
- Perform technical support in the form of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostics, adjustments, repair, modifications, assembly, and calibration of equipment according to specifications, blueprints, manuals, or written instructions.
- Document maintenance activities and assist in improving standardized work documents for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and various other activities related to the success of the area.
- Assist Equipment Engineers with equipment upgrades, improvements, and long down troubleshooting.
- Work with process technicians on wafer recoveries and post maintenance qualification tasks.
- Coordinate equipment down time with Manufacturing Leads.
