Position: Materials Coordinators - 18 mo contract - 3 Shifts - $18-20 per hour  - North Austin

Materials Coordinator – Semiconductor – Northeast Austin, Texas. 18 month contract with benefits offered.

Potential hours and shifts, with possible overtime on weekends required: 6 am to 2:30 pm; 3 pm to 11:30 pm; 10 pm to 6 am.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritizes daily stores activities. May perform satellite receiving functions.
  • Performs cycle counts to verify and maintain inventory; investigates cycle count discrepancies and non-conformances.
  • Locates, audits, and transfers kits or materials as required in preparation for shipment.
  • Receives parts and updates inventory records or shortage reports; may perform transactions in SAP or other inventory systems. Verifies vendor delivery before accepting parts and/or inventory. May monitor, update and maintain shortage reports including review of work orders.
  • Coordinates processing of non-conformances. Regulates and prepares material for delivery to the cleanroom environment.
  • Under direction from management, prevents accumulation of excess material. Moves stock as required. In a manufacturing environment, may replenish empty line-side bins and/or regulate material movement to the manufacturing floor.
  • Under direction from supervisor, purges stock of excess and obsolete material. Takes action necessary to rework, transfer, or scrap these items.
  • Other requirements:
    This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, distinguishing colors, and working in a noisy environment. May require use of hand and power tools and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts. May involve working in a clean room and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.

  • Experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with cycle counts, non-conformances, and material movement.
  • Ability to work in a clean room setting and comply with PPE requirements.
  • Ability to operate or drive forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with production and procurement teams.
  • Physical ability to perform required duties as described above.
