Responsible for day-to-day card, printers and / or reader programing, light maintenance of machinery and equipment, as well as acting as the main support from the Production Leader and/or Production Supervisor. The Machine Operator 3 is expected to act as production lead.

As our Machine Operator III, you'll support HID's success by:- Complying with SOPs and work instructions related to job function.
- Meeting performance standards to ensure output positively contributes to area specific KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
- Participating in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working collaboratively with peers and internal customers.
- Setting up and operating a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines.
- Conducting manual production operations as required.
- Performing daily 5s and PM of equipment and surrounding areas as required.
- Verifying BOMs, programming requirements, product types, artwork and markings.
- Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance.
- Proactively logging and escalating potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and / or operational inefficiencies.
- Participating in root cause, corrective / preventive action activities as required.
- Understanding workload for the day and defining the shift hours based on demand.
- Ensuring all Machine Operators have the right material and paperwork for them to perform their job correctly.
- Ensuring Order Management process is executed correctly in order to achieve the daily Delivery/Efficiency targets.
- Acting as the point of contact between production and support areas to resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.
- Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
- Must possess the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
- Must have flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift.
- Requires the ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment.
- Accepts and embraces constant change as a necessary factor to success.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
