Job SummaryThe Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computerized embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered designs on garments and other textile products. The role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate single-head or multi-head computerized embroidery machines
- Load and position garments, fabrics, and hoops correctly
- Set up embroidery designs, threads, needles, and backing materials
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper stitching and quality
- Detect and correct errors such as thread breaks, misalignment, or design flaws
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Change thread colors and needles as required by design specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects
- Follow production schedules and meet output targets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to workplace safety and quality standards
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience operating embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, Brother)
- Basic knowledge of embroidery techniques, fabrics, and threads
- Ability to read and follow work orders and design instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Experience with embroidery software (e.g., Wilcom, Hatch)
- Knowledge of digitizing and design setup
- Prior experience in garment or textile manufacturing
Physical Requirements
- Factory or production floor environment
- Standing for extended periods
- Handling fabrics, garments, and embroidery frames
- Exposure to noise from machinery
