Pay rate: $23/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)

Supports 24/7 operations during assigned shift

Role Overview

The Megasys Maintenance Technician supports semiconductor manufacturing by maintaining gas, chemical, and slurry delivery systems
. This role is highly hands‑on and mechanical, focused on maintenance, repair, documentation, and safety in a cleanroom and industrial environment.

Technicians ensure uninterrupted chemical and gas supply critical to chip manufacturing while maintaining strict safety, quality, and productivity standards
.

Key Responsibilities

Core Maintenance & Technical Duties

  • Perform daily maintenance on gas and chemical distribution systems
  • Repair and troubleshoot distribution system equipment and leaks
  • Maintain and service advanced gas and chemical blending equipment
  • Support chemical reprocessing and life safety systems
  • Execute mechanical repairs and identify required replacement parts
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Accurately document all maintenance and service activities
  • Read, interpret, and create P&IDs / PFDs
  • Work with engineers on mechanical tests and process setup

Manufacturing & Lab Support (as needed)

  • Perform helium leak checks on stainless steel vessels
  • Acid wash Teflon and stainless steel components
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain quartz and borosilicate glass eigen
  • Support packaging, labeling, inspection, and shipping of chemicals
  • Assist with hazardous waste consolidation and decontamination

Safety & Quality

  • Follow strict GMP, EHS, LOTO
    , and PPE requirements
  • Handle chemicals and solvents safely
  • Maintain cleanroom integrity and housekeeping
  • Perform quality inspections and documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Walk 3–6 miles/day (≈75% of shift)
  • Climb ladders up to 12 ft (with fall protection)
  • Lift 40–50 lbs
  • Bending, kneeling, and overhead reaching
  • Ability to wear respirator and full PPE

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (
    mandatory
    )
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance or skilled trades experience
  • (plumbing, welding, oilfield,asyonu< b> W)

Preferred Qualifications

    Trade/vocational school or Associate degree (technical discipline)
  • PLC troubleshooting exposure
  • Startup and commissioning experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with:
  • Ultra-high purity environments
  • Plumbing systems

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Attention is read gauges and use precision measuring tools
  • Knowledge'ed materials compatibility and construction
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, documentation)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
