We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Development to lead fundraising, donor relations, and strategic growth initiatives that strengthen our mission and expand our impact.
Position OverviewThe Vice President of Development reports directly to the CEO and serves as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. This role leads all fundraising, donor cultivation, marketing, and communications efforts using a relationship‑driven philanthropy model. The VP of Development oversees a talented team and plays a central role in building a sustainable legacy of support for the Marbridge community.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, engage, and deepen relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Manage donor pipelines, cultivation calendars, and stewardship activities.
- Lead the annual giving program with strategies to increase both revenue and donor count.
- Direct the capital campaign in alignment with the Marbridge Master Architectural Plan.
- Travel as needed to cultivate donor relationships and secure financial support.
- Oversee all major fundraising and third‑party events, including golf tournaments, family dinners, and volunteer appreciation events.
- Develop sponsorship opportunities and ensure appropriate recognition for partners.
- Lead post‑event evaluation and donor follow‑up efforts.
- Direct all internal and external communications, including publications, email newsletters, website content, and brand standards.
- Develop marketing strategies that support Marbridge’s corporate strategic plan.
- Recruit, train, and mentor the Development team, including Marketing & Communications, Development Associate, and Grant Writer roles.
- Conduct performance evaluations, support ongoing training, and model excellence in stewardship and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, donors, vendors, agencies, and community organizations.
- Provide an exceptional experience for visitors, families, and partners while representing Marbridge with professionalism and integrity.
- Minimum 5 years of fundraising, event planning, marketing, or public relations experience—nonprofit preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a high‑performing team.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage budgets, meet deadlines, multitask, and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency with MS Office and donor management software;
Bloomerang experience preferred. - Office‑based role with frequent walking, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel for events or donor engagement.
