Position Summary

This Director IV position performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in budgeting and accounting, including regular updates to the Legislative Budget Board (LBB), DIR Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the DIR Board, and the DIR Extended Executive Leadership Team (EELT). Work involves providing strategic budget and accounting direction, establishes programmatic goals and objectives; oversees the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines;

establishes priorities, standards, and performance metrics for determining progress in meeting goals; coordinates and evaluates program activities and/or business functions; and reviews and approves budgets within a department or division. Supervises the work of the Budget Office, Accounting Director, and the agency's Payroll Officer. Works under the Chief Financial Officer with minimal supervision and extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
