Apple is looking for a creative problem-solver with a background in delivering solutions according to the highest service standards. Apple’s Global Security team is looking for a Global Threats Team Manager to support the Global Threats & Crisis Management Organization. You will lead a team of dedicated, professional protective intelligence analysts and behavioral threat assessors, work directly with business units, People team, Global Security, and various law enforcement agencies to provide physical threat assessment and mitigation recommendations.

You will help strategize, plan, and develop creative solutions on a wide variety of projects, initiatives, and campaigns.

Your work will help evaluate physical security risk to people, productions, and events,, increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, and assist with critical incidents affecting Apple.

Apple is seeking a leader with a deep background in assessing threats and risk to physical security, protective intelligence, behavioral threat assessments, open-source research, security operations, managing multiple remits and concurrent programs, projects, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have leadership and management experience, program management expertise, a high degree of technical skills, excellent writing skills, and the ability to foster and maintain good relationships with key partners and employees at all levels.

• Lead as a subject matter expert (SME) and serve as an escalation point for threats involving complex interpersonal, reputational, or security-related dynamics involving employees, executives, former employees, customers, or unknown individuals.
• Ability to partner closely with Apple’s Executive Protection and Talent Protection Teams, Apple TV Production Security Team, and other critical partners.
• Conduct in-depth behavioral analysis, open-source research, and recommend tailored mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with leaders from the business unit who request security services to guarantee that each assessment and the scope of work are meticulously planned, executed, and maintained in the highest level of confidentiality.
• Oversee project management, attend meetings, and communicate updates to the team, including training sessions and event debriefings.
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners such as law enforcement, government agencies, Apple business units, and vendors.
• Provide analytic support to enable threat detection and identification of concerning behaviors and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Communicate complex threat issues to diverse audiences across Apple.
• High degree of knowledge of best-in-class applicable software/tools (e.g. social media monitoring and investigations, case management software, etc.), investigative strategies, and research methods to address threats to people and places.
• Collaborate with critical stakeholders at Apple and other partners to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

• 12-15+ years of professional experience in leading a protective intelligence or threat program and/or conducting intelligence investigations or analysis; assessing complex threats and developing mitigation strategies and techniques.
• 10+ years of demonstrated success as a people manager, leading teams.
• Subject matter expert with data analytics, threat metrics platforms and collection.
• Advanced open source and public records research skills.
