The HT Group is partnering with an energy management advisory firm to find a Division President to lead their Power Brokerage division. The successful candidate is a proven closer with deep experience in the ERCOT power market who can both personally close complex transactions and lead, coach, and scale a sales organization. This individual will inherit an existing book of business and sales team, integrate a newly acquired portfolio, and drive aggressive organic growth while maintaining seamless customer retention.

Compensation
:
Base up to $250k + commission (Approx $300-400k total comp).
Significant on‑site presence in Spicewood, TX required during the first 90 days (potentially up to six months).
Key Responsibilities- Own full P&L responsibility for the Power Brokerage division.
- Personally lead and close high‑value commercial and industrial power brokerage transactions.
- Drive organic revenue growth across new logos, renewals, and upsell of expanded services.
- Establish and execute a clear growth strategy tied to revenue, megawatt‑hours, and margin.
- Lead, coach, and manage an existing and expanding sales team (current team plus additional inherited salespeople post‑acquisition).
- Set performance expectations, sales cadence, accountability, and incentives.
- Participate directly in joint calls and meetings to ensure deals are closed.
- Seamlessly integrate a newly acquired brokerage book of business.
- Ensure continuity of customer relationships during transition.
- Assess inherited talent and structure the organization for scale.
- Act as the senior face of Power Brokerage division with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable commercial terms.
- Be accountable for revenue growth, profitability, retention, and expansion.
- Balance growth across megawatt volume, commission rates, and total revenue.
- Establish clear KPIs and reporting tied to results.
- Immediate stabilization and retention of inherited customers post‑acquisition.
- Clear ownership and improvement of sales execution and close rates.
- Strong first‑year revenue growth on top of an approximate $4MM run‑rate business.
- Visible path to scaling the division toward significantly higher managed load and revenue over 2–3 years.
- Significant experience in the power brokerage and/or retail power markets (ERCOT experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of personally closing complex, high‑value commercial and industrial power transactions.
- Prior experience leading and scaling sales teams.
- Strong commercial judgment around pricing, commissions, renewals, and margin.
- Comfortable operating as both player and coach.
