Position SummaryThe Regional Vice President is a senior leadership role responsible for setting strategy, goals, and performance expectations across a defined portfolio of multifamily communities. This position holds full accountability for operational, financial, and people performance within the portfolio and serves as a key partner to ownership, internal leadership, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, strategic operator with deep LIHTC experience who can balance owner expectations, company objectives, and team development while driving results.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Operational Leadership- Lead and support a team of Regional Managers to execute Elmington’s strategy and owner objectives
- Ensure consistent execution of Elmington’s operational standards, performance expectations, and non‑negotiables
- Conduct regular portfolio and operational reviews to identify risks, underperforming assets, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and monitor progress toward established goals
- Demonstrate strong command of financial statements, budgets, and P&L management
- Create and oversee annual budgets; manage portfolio financial performance against targets
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to ownership, investors, lenders, and internal leadership
- Assist with due diligence, underwriting, acquisitions, and dispositions as needed
- Lead hiring, compensation planning, performance management, and succession planning within the portfolio
- Coach and develop Regional Managers and site leadership teams to build strong, accountable operators
- Foster a culture of ethical conduct, transparency, and high performance
- Identify and implement emerging technologies, tools, and best practices
- Partner with sales leadership to identify and pursue third‑party management opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, vendors, industry partners, government agencies, and trade organizations
- Represent Elmington professionally in meetings, industry events, and community engagements

- 5–10+ years of multifamily, multi‑site property management experience
- Experience at the Regional Vice President level required
- Direct LIHTC portfolio experience required
- Proven success leading complex or performance‑challenged portfolios
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, management, human services, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CPM designation preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Fair Housing, Landlord‑Tenant law, and applicable federal and state regulations
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented environment
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, and verbal communication
- Frequent use of hands for office and field work
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Moderate noise level and typical office/site temperatures
