General Manager - Student Housing

Vie Management is hiring a General Manager to lead a high-energy, 300-bed student housing community in West Campus, Austin, just steps from the University of Texas.

This role is ideal for a student housing or multifamily leader who enjoys running a property like their own business — building a strong team, driving leasing, and creating a great experience for residents while hitting financial goals.

• Leading leasing, renewals, and pricing strategy to maximize occupancy and revenue
• Managing and developing the onsite team, including leasing and maintenance
• Creating a strong resident experience from move-in through renewal
• Owning the property budget, forecasts, and financial performance
• Managing vendors, maintenance operations, and capital needs
• Monitoring the local market and adjusting strategy as needed
• Ensuring compliance with fair housing, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Partnering with Vie’s corporate team to deliver consistent, high-quality operations

• 4+ years of experience in student housing, apartment, or multifamily property management
• Experience leading or supporting a 200–500 bed community or high-volume leasing environment
• A strong understanding of leasing cycles, renewals, and revenue management
• Experience managing budgets, financials, and NOI
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and retain high-performing teams
• Experience with property management software (Entrata is a plus)
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; degrees in business, hospitality, real estate, or a related field are strongly preferred
