Position

Summary

Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion. Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes. Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. At higher levels, incumbents manage large multifaceted projects; at lower levels, incumbents may be concerned with clearly identifiable elements or functions within a larger project.

Typically incumbents matched to this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management.

Responsibilities
  • Under general direction, leads the planning and execution of key organizational projects, ensuring consistent alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Develops project plans and team member assignments, defines specific deliverables and deadlines, and establishes project milestones for the organization.
  • Conducts project post-mortems to capture and apply lessons learned to identify areas for improvement and shares process enhancements to optimize project management practices.
  • Implements and enforces quality control processes to identify and resolve any deviations or deficiencies.
  • Develops change management plans and strategies to minimize resistance and ensure successful adoption.
  • Identifies project risks and issues, develops risk mitigation strategies, and establishes contingency plans.
  • Prepares and delivers project progress reports, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Directs individuals to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjust priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest level of attention to detail.
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in current project management techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years work experience in Managed Care environment
  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others)
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification. Equivalent experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

$60,300.00 – $ (base salary range). Eligible for bonus, commission or short-term incentive program.
