Monkee-Boy is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Director to lead strategy development and execution oversight for our growing digital marketing agency, which specializes in local service businesses.

This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on developing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns, and building scalable processes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring clients achieve measurable growth through our sprint-based delivery model while managing a hybrid team of in-house specialists and contractors. This role is positioned to grow into VP of Operations as we scale.

- You have deep expertise in digital marketing across multiple disciplines - SEO, PPC/Paid Media, content strategy, analytics, conversion optimization, and marketing automation. You know how these pieces work together to drive business results.
- You’re a natural leader and mentor who enjoys developing talent, refining processes, and building systems that scale. You’ve successfully managed client relationships and internal teams.
- You practice active listening and can unpack complex client needs, translating business objectives into marketing strategies. You handle client concerns with empathy and urgency while protecting team processes and company policies.
- You’re equally comfortable presenting to C-suite executives as you are training junior team members. You can explain technical marketing concepts to non-technical audiences and make data-driven recommendations that clients understand and trust.
- You have an ownership mindset - you see opportunities before they become problems, you document processes, you look for efficiencies, and you take initiative without waiting to be told.
- You’re endlessly curious about marketing trends, testing methodologies, and what drives results across different industries and business models.
- Develop comprehensive quarterly marketing strategies for all client accounts
- Lead client strategy sessions and quarterly business reviews
- Create and maintain service delivery playbooks for all five service categories
- Design custom sprint combinations to achieve each client’s specific goals
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Ensure strategies align with each client’s industry, competition, and target audience
- Plan and allocate monthly marketing sprints across all accounts
- Manage sprint execution through a hybrid team of employees and contractors
- Ensure consistent quality standards across all deliverables
- Monitor sprint completion rates and delivery timelines
- Coordinate between service areas for integrated campaign delivery
- Oversee implementation of website, content, SEO, and local marketing initiatives
- Build and manage a network of reliable freelance contractors
- Assign sprints to appropriate team members based on expertise
- Conduct weekly check-ins with core contractors
- Review and approve contractor deliverables
