Meow Bark Veterinary is on the lookout for an organized, compassionate, and motivated Practice Manager to help keep our clinic running smoothly day to day! This role plays a huge part in supporting our amazing team, our wonderful clients, and the pets we care for 💕—all while keeping the business side of things on track.
We’re hoping to find someone who’s a great communicator, comfortable making decisions, and enjoys solving problems, all while leading with kindness, respect, and a positive attitude!
What You’ll Be Doing Clinic Operations & Scheduling- Create and adjust staff schedules to keep the clinic running efficiently and support work-life balance
- Coordinate time-off requests, shift swaps, and coverage needs
- Make sure daily clinic operations run smoothly (and calmly!)
- Keep track of medical supplies, medications, office supplies, and equipment
- Place and monitor orders, work with vendors, and help manage costs
- Watch usage trends to prevent shortages or over-ordering
- Help create, manage, and monitor the clinic budget
- Track expenses and look for smart, practical ways to save money
- Partner with ownership on financial goals, reports, and planning
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain employee records, timekeeping, and labor compliance
- Support onboarding and offboarding of team members
- Be a go-to person for staff questions, concerns, and workplace challenges
- Handle conflicts thoughtfully, fairly, and professionally
- Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture 😊
- Ensure clinic policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Uphold our standards for excellent patient care and client service
- Support training, growth, and continuous improvement across the team
- Experience in veterinary practice management, healthcare management, or a similar leadership role is a plus
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Experience with scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and inventory systems
- A leader who balances empathy with accountability
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
- Calm, confident, and able to make decisions—and follow through!
- A team player who values honesty, transparency, and respect
