We’re currently seeking a high-performing Operations Director to build out the property operations function for a student housing operator. If all goes well, the right candidate will be on the fast track to VP.
This is a prime opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to build an in-house operations platform, set the organizational playbook, and scale a high-performing team. You will drive portfolio performance across multiple markets, partner on acquisitions and Cap Ex, and have a clear path to VP of Operations. The platform is known for design-forward product and strong brand marketing, and you will have the autonomy and support to shape long-term growth.

Responsibilities- Own day-to-day operations for a 15+ property student housing portfolio in 8+ markets
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3 regional managers
- Build and implement the operating playbook, SOPs, and an employee handbook
- Partner on acquisitions, integrations, lease-ups, and value-add or Cap Ex planning
- Manage portfolio financials including budgets, NOI, P&L, performance dashboards
- 5+ years of senior student housing leadership experience at a Regional or higher level
- Proven track record building out operations and standing up processes from scratch
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, NOI, and reporting
- Experience with acquisitions, transitions, Cap Ex planning, and lease-up strategies
- Willing and able to travel to each site once per quarter, based in or relocating to Austin
- Earn total compensation of up to $180k account for base salary plus bonuses
- Clear path to VP as the organization brings management in-house and scales
- Relocation assistance to Austin with a flexible move timeline
