Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Location:
Austin, TX, US, 78728.
Support a wide range of requests from production related to test equipment. Maintains test equipment used in the manufacturing process including mechanical, pneumatic, electronics and electrical repairs. Must be familiar with various types of hi-pot tester, multimeters, hand tools and power tools.
Position Responsibilities- Work with all departments to complete projects which support their operation
- Troubleshooting and repair to Test equipment and fixtures (mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic)
- Perform preventive maintenance to test production equipment
- Take down, move, and reinstall machines and/or equipment as needed
- Install electrical wiring, conduit, boxes, etc.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
- Able to work well with minimal supervision and adhere closely to safety protocol and all EHS guidelines
- Support the 5S Methodology
- Troubleshoot electrical problems on PLC, computer driven and multi-feature equipment
- Able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Microsoft office knowledge to prepare reports
- High voltage and high current knowledge (AC & DC)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Electronics experience (working with PC boards, JTAGs, etc.)
- Previous maintenance experience > 4 years
- Mechanical, electronics, pneumatic & hydraulic troubleshooting experience
- Industrial/automated machine troubleshooting and repairs
Must be able to operate the following equipment with training if needed: multimeters, hi-pots, solder irons; able to stand and/or walk continuously for entire shift; able to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously.
