PurposeThe ideal candidate will walk/drive around Main Campus/JJ Pickle/select satellite locations in Austin, and go to every building, inspecting the Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) located at Celebrated Entrances and throughout the building. Each AED has a QR code that can be scanned with a cell phone or tablet (tablet provided if they prefer). Once scanned, the QR code leads to a form that requires you to confirm that the AED is present, not damaged, and has a blinking light.

- The form is then submitted, and that data is sent to our tracking spreadsheet. We have approx. 300 AEDs around campus, each has to be checked monthly. Some AEDs may require a battery change or a pad replacement, so we would like them to change parts as needed, but that should be minimal. Detailed training and documentation provided for all aspects of the job.
Drive a UT cart as needed.
High school grad or GED. Regular and punctual attendance is a must. Must be able to walk a block or two comfortably, stand for short periods, and drive a UT cart around campus. We need this person to be detail-oriented and reliable, as this is a monthly requirement. Some lifting of small weight may be necessary, some stooping or kneeling.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in medical equipment inspection preferred, but not required.
Driving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Working Conditions- Attire: shorts.
- Any reasonable attire is fine, as this job will involve walking and being outside for extended periods of time; we are fine with shorts and tank tops. No holes in clothing or offensive messaging.

- The schedule can be determined by the manager and employee based on employee needs, but would fall from Monday through Friday, between 7 am to 4 pm. We are flexible within those hours. This job cannot be done remotely.
