Skills- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one time (Required)
- Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process (Required)
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Required)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleading, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements
- Prepare affidavits or other documents, maintain document file, and file pleadings with court clerk
- Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents
- Investigate facts and law of cases to determine causes of action and to prepare cases
- Associate degree in paralegal studies or bachelor’s degree coupled with a certificate in paralegal studies
- 3-7 years’ experience required
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $55.00 - $56.00/hour
. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
