The Law Office of Jason Wright, PLLC is seeking a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney based in Austin, TX. The Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in representing clients in a variety of family and school‑law cases including, but not limited to, divorce, custody, and education‑related disputes. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, providing tailored legal advice, preparing for court hearings, negotiating agreements, and advocating for clients in court.
The candidate will work closely with the legal team to deliver high‑quality service and ensure successful outcomes for clients while upholding the firm’s values of honesty and transparency.
We are a litigation‑focused firm seeking an Associate Attorney who values creative solutions but is also ready to take a case to trial. You’ll manage your own docket of family law cases from start to finish and work closely with clients to deliver results with professionalism and empathy. This role is ideal for an attorney who’s personable, detail‑oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication and client‑management skills.
While we prioritize resolution through negotiation and mediation, we are a full litigation firm that isn’t afraid to take cases to trial.
Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact with clients on your docket
- Manage family law cases from intake to resolution
- Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
- Prepare witnesses and clients for hearings and trials
- Conduct hearings and trials (first chair)
- Communicate regularly with clients to ensure clarity and trust
- Collaborate with supervising attorneys and paralegals
- Document case progress in line with firm procedures
- Participate in marketing and networking events as needed
- Learnaboutand conduct initial consultations
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and time management
- Resourcefulness and proactive problem‑solving
- Proficiency Microsoft Word, Excel, Clio, and Google Workspace
- Comfortable using CRM systems or legal management software
Minimum: 1+ year practicing Family Law (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits- • Quarterly bonus structure
