Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in a full-time, in-person role. The ideal candidate will support attorneys through all phases of litigation, manage case-related documentation, communicate with clients and third parties, and ensure deadlines and filings are handled accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, compile, and organize information and documents for attorney review
  • Research case-related factual issues using in-house files and records
  • Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings and discovery
  • Act as a liaison among attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel for scheduling and case updates
  • Organize and manage physical and electronic case files
  • Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents and respond to discovery requests
  • Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings
  • Attend trials and assist attorneys as needed
  • Summarize depositions accurately and concisely
  • Maintain extensive communication with doctors and medical staff regarding records and case-related information
  • Use legal software and databases to assist attorneys and clients
  • Track billable hours accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitor and maintain all case deadlines to ensure compliance with court requirements
Qualifications
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prior litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with legal software, databases, Adobe PDF, and Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with Pro-doc and Efile preferred
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • We are a defense firm. Candidate will need experience billing time to files.
