Position SummaryBe part of HHSC as an Enforcement Attorney in Austin, TX. The role provides legal support related to HHS sanctions, representing HHSC in contested cases governed by the Administrative Procedure Act, and advising program staff on legal sufficiency of proposed sanctions and hearing processes.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs)- Consult with program staff on complex legal issues.
- Review, develop, and conduct training.
- Research and brief relevant legal issues.
- Review policies, rules, regulations, and forms to ensure legal compliance.
- Manage caseloads and prepare cases for trial.
- Independently represent clients at hearings governed by the Administrative Procedures Act (docketing, discovery, motions, witness preparation, depositions, and representation).
- Skilled in legal research, writing, and 질문.
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

- JD or LLB degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
- Administrative law experience preferred but not required.
