Associate Attorney

The Austin and/or San Antonio offices of Thompson Coe, LLP seek an associate with 2-5 years' experience to join the Labor and Employment section of the firm. Candidates should have a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure, and excellent advocacy and writing skills. Litigation and/or appellate experience is preferred, and previous labor and employment experience (either at a law firm or in-house) is strongly preferred.

Valid Texas BAR license required.

The associates in this position will work on a variety of labor and employment cases, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and directors' and officers' litigation, as well as commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and misrepresentation, and community association and condominium governance issues. The associate will handle the day-to-day aspects of these cases, including client meetings, reporting and investigation, and taking and attending depositions, hearings, mediations and arbitrations and/or trials.

Depending on the size and exposure of the case, the associates will independently handle the case or work closely with a partner.
