Overview
We are recruiting for an exciting Attorney position with a $20+billion-dollar commercial construction company. This is a top national commercial construction based in Austin, TX and they specialize in building large scale commercial projects from Hospitals to large staples to high-end commercial specialty projects.
Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate construction-related contracts, including vendor, subcontractor, service, and confidentiality agreements
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management matters
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, obligations, and legal exposure
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Support dispute resolution efforts and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
- Maintain and manage contract records and legal documentation
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
- 3+ years of experience in corporate law, construction law, or commercial contracts
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating contracts
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- In-house counsel experience within a construction, real estate, or engineering environment
- Familiarity with construction regulations, insurance provisions, and risk allocation
