Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, currently has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent/Patent Associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Austin, TX office. The Austin team has a dynamic and continually growing practice focused on a broad range of intellectual property matters. Job Requirements
  • Drafting patent applications in the computer arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, Fin Tech, web applications, telecommunications, integrated circuits, etc.)
  • Prosecuting patent applications

Position requires 3 or more years of focused experience in these areas. Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Candidates with a degree or an advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering and/or computer science are preferred, although candidates with degrees in mechanical engineering or other relevant experience will also be considered. Strong experience drafting complex software patent applications is a plus.

Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be comfortable working directly with clients, and possess strong writing and analytical skills.
