Location: Austin, TX or Southlake, TX (Hybrid 4 days a week onsite)
Duration: 4 months with possibility of extension
Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a QA Tester (Mid-Level)
AboutThe Role
Join a large enterprise technology organization building and supporting cybersecurity and identity solutions. You'll design and execute test strategies across APIs, UI, scheduled jobs, and databases, while expanding automation for web-enabled applications in an Agile environment.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)- Design, build, and execute test scenarios/cases across API, UI, scheduled jobs, and database layers
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-enabled applications
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security stakeholders in an Agile delivery model
- Use test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) to plan, execute, and report testing
- Improve testing practices to ensure integrity and reliability of business operations
- Support validation of cybersecurity and identity/access solutions and integrations
- Communicate test status, risks, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to CI/CD-aligned testing approaches and modern testing frameworks
- Years of hands‑on QA engineering/testing experience, including API and UI testing
- Years of test automation experience for web-enabled applications (or equivalent depth)
- Experience working in Agile teams and using collaboration tools
- Working knowledge of software development life cycles (analysis, development, testing, maintenance, improvement)
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and testing frameworks
- Years of hands‑on QA engineering and testing experience with progressive responsibilities, including designing and executing API, UI, scheduled jobs, and DB test scenarios/cases
- Years of experience developing test automation scripts, particularly for web-enabled applications
- Years of experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
- Years of experience using JIRA for test execution and/or test case management tools
- Advanced expertise in QA testing activities for a designated business area to develop effective testing practices that confirm integrity and reliability of operations
- Experience supporting cybersecurity tools/applications, including Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Exposure to platforms such as Zscaler, SailPoint Identity
IQ (IIQ), PingID, and/or HYPR (or similar cybersecurity/identity technologies) - Strong communication skills across multiple departments, including technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and common testing frameworks
