QA Tester; Mid-Level

Location: Austin, TX or Southlake, TX (Hybrid 4 days a week onsite)

Duration: 4 months with possibility of extension

Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a QA Tester (Mid-Level)

Join a large enterprise technology organization building and supporting cybersecurity and identity solutions. You'll design and execute test strategies across APIs, UI, scheduled jobs, and databases, while expanding automation for web-enabled applications in an Agile environment.

• Design, build, and execute test scenarios/cases across API, UI, scheduled jobs, and database layers
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-enabled applications
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security stakeholders in an Agile delivery model
• Use test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) to plan, execute, and report testing
• Improve testing practices to ensure integrity and reliability of business operations
• Support validation of cybersecurity and identity/access solutions and integrations
• Communicate test status, risks, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to CI/CD-aligned testing approaches and modern testing frameworks

• Years of hands‑on QA engineering/testing experience, including API and UI testing
• Years of test automation experience for web-enabled applications (or equivalent depth)
• Experience working in Agile teams and using collaboration tools
• Working knowledge of software development life cycles (analysis, development, testing, maintenance, improvement)
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and testing frameworks

• Years of hands‑on QA engineering and testing experience with progressive responsibilities, including designing and executing API, UI, scheduled jobs, and DB test scenarios/cases
• Years of experience developing test automation scripts, particularly for web-enabled applications
• Years of experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
• Years of experience using JIRA for test execution and/or test case management tools
• Advanced expertise in QA testing activities for a designated business area to develop effective testing practices that confirm integrity and reliability of operations
• Experience supporting cybersecurity tools/applications, including Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Exposure to platforms such as Zscaler, SailPoint Identity
  
  IQ (IIQ), PingID, and/or HYPR (or similar cybersecurity/identity technologies)
• Strong communication skills across multiple departments, including technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and common testing frameworks
