• Design and develop automated testing scripts to execute testing functions automatically.
• Identify and prioritize test scenarios and develop test execution plans.
• Create and maintain documentation for automated testing processes.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining both manual and automated test scripts.
• Prepare User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases aligned with business requirements.
• Conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment of testing requirements.
• Track test case execution and provide regular reporting on testing progress and outcomes.
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Work within an Agile/Scrum environment to support software delivery cycles.
• Support development teams across development, testing, and UAT environments.
• Troubleshoot defects and assist with root cause analysis.

• Write, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans.
• Apply knowledge of software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Use Xray Test Case Management Tool for test management.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams in an Agile environment to deliver sprint releases on time.
• Use Jira and SharePoint for project tracking and collaboration.
• Track and manage defects using industry-standard tools such as Jira, including:
• Categorizing issues
• Prioritizing and tracking defects throughout the SDLC
• Write and execute SQL queries to perform Create, Read, Update, Delete (CRUD) operations.
• Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Develop and execute automated test cases for authentication, user permissions, and access control.
• Perform multiple types of testing, including:
• Unit testing
• Integration testing
• Regression testing
• User acceptance testing
• System testing
• Stress testing
• Performance testing
• Utilize code coverage tools and support systems analysis and design activities.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
• Organize and present complex technical information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within sprint teams.
• Manage work effectively under tight deadlines and time constraints.
• Demonstrate self-driven initiative to support project goals and milestones.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users.
• Respond to inquiries related to errors, program issues, or system problems.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Track and report time spent on projects and estimate effort for enhancements or changes.
• Apply knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (preferred).
• Conduct accessibility testing using accessibility tools and assistive technologies.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Preferred experience working with the State of Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) systems.

• 8+ years of experience writing and executing test cases and creating test plans.
• 8+ years of experience with software usability concepts, requirements traceability, and SDLC processes.
• 8+ years of experience with Xray Test Case Management Tool and Jira Project Management Tool.
• 8+ years of experience with SQL queries, including Create, Read, Update, Delete (CRUD) operations.
• 8+ years of experience developing and executing automation test scripts using UFT.
• 8+ years of experience conducting API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or JMeter.
