We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to support enterprise application testing and quality assurance initiatives within a large public-sector technology environment.
This role focuses on designing and maintaining manual and automated test scripts
, ensuring application quality through structured testing processes, and supporting Agile development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The selected consultant will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to validate application functionality, track defects, and ensure reliable system performance.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in test automation, API testing, SQL-based validation, and Agile software delivery
, along with the ability to coordinate user acceptance testing and maintain testing documentation across complex systems.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for enterprise applications
- Prepare detailed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases aligned with business requirements
- Track test execution results and provide reporting on testing progress and outcomes
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as UFT
- Maintain documentation for automated testing processes
- Support automation efforts integrated with CI/CD pipelines
- Perform API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar tools
- Validate application data using SQL queries and CRUD operations
- Verify authentication flows, user roles, and permissions during testing
- Log, categorize, and prioritize defects using Jira and test management tools such as Xray
- Track defects through resolution and collaborate with development teams for troubleshooting
- Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) to ensure full test coverage
- Work closely with Agile Scrum teams to support sprint-based development cycles
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and testing cycles
- Support testing activities across development, QA, and UAT environments
- Investigate quality issues by reviewing logs, databases, and system behavior
- Identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance software quality and release reliability
- Coordinate UAT schedules and stakeholder communications
- Conduct walkthroughs of test cases with stakeholders to ensure clarity
- Provide recommendations during test readiness and go/no-go decisions
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Strong experience with:
- Writing and executing test plans and test cases
- Automated testing using UFT
- API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar tools
- SQL query writing (CRUD operations)
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
- Experience using Jira and Xray test case management tools
- Experience integrating testing processes with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience creating and reviewing performance testing scripts
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- Experience working with large enterprise or government systems
- Experience supporting complex case management or enterprise applications
