System Administrator

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX
. Candidates must have hands‑on mastery of storage fabrics (Fibre Channel, NVMe, RoCE) and vendor REST APIs.

• Maintaining, architecting, and optimizing enterprise storage infrastructure across Pure, Hitachi, Net App, and Dell platforms.
• Managing storage fabric technologies such as Fibre Channel (Brocade/Cisco), NVMe, and RoCE to ensure high‑performance connectivity.
• Providing 2nd‑ and 3rd‑level storage support, including troubleshooting, performance analysis, and incident resolution.
• Collaborating with systems engineers, database administrators, SAP teams, and application owners to support and enhance storage solutions.
• Automating storage operations using Python and scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Integrating and managing storage systems through vendor‑specific REST APIs to streamline provisioning and monitoring.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering or storage administration.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Pure, Hitachi, Net App, and Dell.
• Proficiency in storage fabrics (Fibre Channel, NVMe, RoCE) and Linux systems engineering, including automation using Python and REST APIs.

$55.00 to $60.00 per hour (rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors).
