Senior QA Automation Analyst; UFT, API Testing, Agile

Job Description

Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts for application testing.

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases and coordinate UAT schedules with stakeholders.
• Track test execution results and generate testing reports and documentation.
• Log, track, categorize, and prioritize defects using Jira and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure complete test coverage.
• Perform various types of testing including unit, integration, regression, smoke, system, stress, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or JMeter.
• Develop and execute test automation scripts using UFT.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and perform CRUD operations.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with development teams across development, testing, and UAT environments to troubleshoot issues and support software releases.
• Create and review performance testing scripts and analyze test results.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
• Support multiple projects while maintaining accurate time tracking and estimation for tasks and enhancements.

• Test Automation, UFT (Unified Functional Testing), API Testing, Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, Test Case Development, Test Planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Jira, Xray Test Case Management, SQL, CRUD Operations, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), CI/CD Pipelines, Agile Methodology, Scrum Environment, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Defect Tracking, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, System Testing, Data Validation, Stakeholder Communication.

• Knowledge of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience working with State of Texas HHSC or other government agencies.
• Experience using SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong experience with test automation using UFT.
• Extensive experience in API testing and SQL query validation.
• Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing processes.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a development team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
