SAFR is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to accelerate growth of the SAFR™ product line across biometric access control, facial recognition watchlist alerting, and intelligent camera solutions.
This is a highly strategic, customer-facing role based at SAFR’s Seattle headquarters. You will serve as the technical driver for large enterprise opportunities—delivering compelling demonstrations, designing customer architectures, leading proof-of-concept deployments, and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the full customer lifecycle.
The role is approximately 80% pre-sales execution and 20% post-sales technical account leadership, ensuring strategic customers achieve long-term success with SAFR deployments in the field.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, executive-level communication, and enterprise deal strategy.
Enterprise Pre-Sales & Deal Leadership- Partner with Sales to own the technical strategy for large, complex enterprise opportunities—from discovery through technical win and close.
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor to security executives, IT leaders, and engineering stakeholders.
- Translate customer pain points into scalable biometric and surveillance solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Deliver polished, high-impact solution demonstrations that “wow” strategic accounts and differentiate SAFR in competitive evaluations.
- Present confidently to audiences ranging from security engineers to C-level decision makers.
- Build tailored demo environments aligned to customer use cases in access control and watchlist alerting.

Provide technical guidance for deployments, scalability, performance, and best practices.
Proof-of-Concept (POC) Execution- Lead POC deployments in customer environments, including configuration, validation, and success criteria alignment.
- Ensure technical evaluations convert into closed enterprise deals.
- Act as the escalation point for strategic customer deployments, ensuring issues in the field are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Perform regular technical account reviews to confirm deployed SAFR systems meet performance and customer expectations.
- Drive long‑term adoption, satisfaction, and expansion opportunities.
- Support distributors, integrators, and channel partners with solution design, training, and technical positioning.
- Multiply SAFR’s reach through partner‑driven opportunities.
Travel 30–60% to support customer engagements, POCs, partner enablement, and key deployments.
What We’re Looking For:Experience & Technical Depth
- 7+ years in Sales Engineering / Pre‑Sales Engineering within physical security, access control, or video surveillance industries.
- Proven success supporting enterprise‑level sales cycles and strategic customer engagements.
- Video Management Systems (VMS): Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, or equivalent
- Physical Access Control Systems (PACS): Lenel
S2, AMAG, Software House, Genetec, Avigilon, or equivalent
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to connect technical detail to business outcomes.
- Confidence engaging with large organizations and executive stakeholders.

- Comfortable balancing technical depth with sales urgency and customer success focus.
