A rapidly expanding developer of energy infrastructure projects is seeking a dynamic Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise applications and ensure seamless user experiences across departments. With a slate of growing platforms and integrations, this high-impact role offers the opportunity to build from the ground up, modernize back-office systems, and partner directly with accounting, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams.
This is an onsite role based in either Austin or Houston, offering a chance to join a close-knit team making strategic improvements across a range of business applications. The role is ideal for someone excited about learning new tools, solving system problems, and being a go-to resource for application management.
Key Responsibilities:- System Access & Governance:
Manage user accounts and permissions across multiple enterprise systems, aligning access with organizational policies and evolving user roles. - Application Configuration & Maintenance:
Support configurations including field setup, user preferences, workflow changes, and basic automation within platforms like ERP, forecasting, and vendor management tools. - User Support & Troubleshooting:
Act as the first line of support for system users, resolving access or functional issues, and escalating technical challenges as needed. - Data Operations:
Maintain integrity in system data through import/export tasks, validation checks, and light data cleanup to support reporting and decision-making. - Reporting & System Performance Insights:
Assist with generation of reports, usage tracking, and performance evaluations to ensure tools are serving the business effectively. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work alongside accounting, finance, procurement, and engineering departments to understand workflows and support their tech enablement. - Documentation & Onboarding:
Draft internal user guides and process documentation. Help train new employees on key applications and features.
- 2–5 years of experience in a systems support, IT analyst, or ERP/application administrator role.
- Familiarity with business applications in finance, procurement, or inventory – especially within construction, manufacturing, or energy industries.
- Comfort with enterprise applications like Net Suite (ERP), Gatekeeper (vendor mgmt), Enverus (invoice processing), Adaptive (forecasting), and Concur (expense management) is a strong plus.
- Understanding of accounting workflows and general ledger impacts, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Hands-on ability with configuration, role-based access, integration monitoring, and system documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support change management and user training initiatives.
- Proficient in Excel and Office tools, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
